I didn’t go through film school or studied anything about filmmaking officially, I was blessed enough to be surrounded by creative people in this industry who guided and supported me, it gave me an opportunity and took the initiative to grab it. Since 2014, I learned everything by teaching myself, through the supervision of the people around me and applying it on set/job. I started as a best boy and developed my skills by bouncing through any position that I can possibly fill. I managed to learn rigging, lighting, sound recording & assisting photographers and cinematographers. I turned to photography to learn basic technicalities concerning framing & exposing images. That turned out to be a good foundation throughout my journey. I was a video editor/DIT for a time because of the saying “shoot like an editor” was stuck in me before I perused cinematography. And lastly, the never ending study of storytelling to be a cinematographer. All directors have their own different approach and it’s my job to adjust and adapt to deliver their story visually. And now, I'm working with renowned directors, producers & production houses. And hopefully, you as well. Let’s tell a story.
